The pre-assembled terrace elements can be laid quickly and easily on rectangular areas. Most of the work on your project will probably involve preparing the previously unpaved ground, but this effort is unavoidable.

Incidentally, the second best choice would be decking boards, which only have to give way to the elements because of the greater effort involved in laying them. Wooden tiles seem rather unsuitable because of the unpaved subsoil.
