Simon Alber has been building extraordinary wooden terraces for over nine years. with his company wood & design he lays decking boards in the Stuttgart area and throughout Baden-Württemberg. He uses a unique and self-developed system that saves the customer a lot of noise and dirt and enables surfaces with the highest precision.
Before construction begins, the desired terrace area is measured with a modern 3D scanner on site with millimeter precision. Based on the data, Simon Alber creates an assembly plan in his office in Rutesheim. In this way he can precisely calculate the amount of wood required and minimize waste.

Andreas Sygulka pre-assembling the terrace modules
Then the pre-assembly begins. Foreman Andreas Sygulka and carpenter Andreas Binder assemble the terrace area divided into individual terrace modules in the company's workshop. Up to 70 percent of the work can be completed before assembly begins at the customer's site.
At the construction site, only the terrace modules then have to be attached and minor detailed work done on door exits or recesses.
Cumaru terrace by Holz & Design Simon Alber
made from Cumaru decking boards in 90mm from BioMaderas
From the very beginning, Simon Alber trusted in the wood quality and sustainability of the decking boards from BioMaderas. He was one of our first customers. In the meantime, the Holz & Design team has laid more than 2.000 square meters of wooden terrace with our floorboards. He prefers to use the Teak decking boards in 95mm width and the Cumaru decking boards in 90mm width .
In the coming weeks we will be presenting a few selected projects by Simon Alber in our wood blog introduce.
