FSC report on Betterwood

The Forest Stewardship Council – FSC for short – is the internationally recognized certification system for wood from responsible forestry. The most important goal of the FSC is that the forests of our planet are used in a more environmentally friendly, socially responsible and economically viable way. The FSC, established in 1993 following the Rio Summit on the Environment, is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization.

“Betterwood relies on personal contacts on site, service quality and transparency”

Now the FSC has written a report about Betterwood’s special concept entitled: "Use to protect – tropical wood from sustainable forestry in Peru"This report reports on the sustainable forestry in Peru, where our Cumaru and Garapa come from. The report also shows what sets us apart from conventional timber traders: "Sustainable tropical timber, as direct and transparent as possible".
