The hardest type of wood
Cumaru is one of the world's most durable woods. The high density brings with it a pronounced twisted grain. In interlocked grain, some wood fibers grow in the opposite direction to the main direction of growth. These are not completely processed by the planing machine and can form rough spots on the floorboard. After the wood has gotten wet for the first time, the rough areas can be easily sanded down. In South America, Cumaru has been used for bridge construction for decades because of its excellent resistance and load-bearing capacity. Cumaru is also becoming increasingly popular in Europe. With their red-brown pattern, the Cumaru decking boards unfold their unique tropical wood aesthetics. at Betterwood Find the best quality Cumaru decking in 90 mm, 120 mm and 145 mm Broad.
