terrace plannerThe background of our hardwood substructure
The sustainable origin
Our hardwood substructure made from Itauba comes from a sustainably managed forest area in Brazil and is FSC® 100% certified. Only as much wood is taken from the forest as will grow back in the same period of time, and high social and ecological standards are observed in the forest and sawmill.
The durable hardwood
Itauba plays in a league with the particularly hard woods Cumaru and Ipe. It achieves the same durability according to the DIN standard and is characterized by very good dimensional stability. This makes it a cheaper alternative as a substructure to the popular terrace woods Cumaru, Ipe, Jatoba, Garapa and Teak.
The comprehensive advice
We advise you comprehensively on your terrace project and on the construction of a substructure made of hardwood. The hardwood substructure in profile 45x68mm reaches a wingspan of 120cm, the 90x90mm Strong beams span over 200cm and are therefore very well suited for creating counter battens. We would be happy to create one for you free of charge laying plan for your project or find out more in ours terrace advice.
Know where it comes from
We are proud that our wood comes exclusively from sustainable forestry. That's why we're happy to show you where the tree grew and what we're doing for the rainforest.
