Our projects
At Betterwood, we don't pay for advertising and prefer to invest our money in projects that protect the rainforest. For every square meter of wood sold, we protect the same area of forest. The projects must always benefit the local people. Sustainable environmental protection can only work if the locals benefit.
Projects from previous years:
Rainforest protection in the Amazon
Our 2023 project: Rainforest protection with property rights for indigenous communities.
Reforestation on Borneo
Our project from 2022: reforestation in close partnership with the local population.
Andean rainforest protection
Our project from 2013: We support the securing and expansion of a reserve in the Colombian Andes.
More forest
Our goal is to give more than we take from the rainforest. For every square meter of wooden terrace that you buy from us, we protect the same area.
Fellow men
Environmental protection cannot work against the local people. When selecting our projects, we always look at whether the local population benefits.
For the world
Our environmental protection projects, our promotion of sustainable forest management, and CO2-neutral transport are small contributions to the big goal of slowing down climate change.
Our Partners
Cooperation with professionals
We only work with organizations that have a lot of experience in the areas of reforestation, rainforest protection and the protection of the indigenous population. We make our selection carefully and only work with NGOs that achieve as much impact as possible in a transparent and efficient manner with low administrative costs.
Rainforest Trust
See how in the video Rainforest Trust helps protect the rainforest, preserve endangered species and helps the local population.
Tree nation
With the help of Tree nation we find organizations that completely compensate for our Co2 emissions through reforestation projects. This video takes you on a journey to projects around the world.
Know where it comes from
We are proud that our wood comes exclusively from sustainable forestry. That's why we're happy to show you where the tree grew and what we're doing for the rainforest.
