For 111 years, the Güde knife maker has stood for the best blacksmithing from Solingen. Today, the teak wood from BioMaderas stands for responsible, top-class wood. The result of the collaboration: the knives in the Güde Alpha Teak series.
The manufactory was founded by Karl Güde in 1910 – at a time when more than 9.000 smaller handicraft businesses were producing cutlery and knives in Solingen.
The fact that Güde is one of the few cutlers from Solingen that still exist today is due to their consistent focus: small quantities with high quality. Not comparable to knives from automated production.
With the invention of the Güde serrated edge, bread knife to produce, which should actually be called bread saws. The particularly sharp teeth saw the bread instead of crushing it.
The three models of the Güde Alpha Teak series have a handle made of teak from BioMaderas – and thus fit perfectly with the cutting boards and chopping blocks Made from FSC®-certified teak.
