Film team from ZDF with us Betterwood in Peru

We regularly visit the sawmills and forest areas where our wood comes from. Our managing director Catherine Körting is currently on a trip through South America - and this time she is accompanied by a film team on behalf of ZDF.

The broadcaster is working on a report on the new EU regulation for deforestation-free supply chains (EUDR). Using our company as an example, we want to show how a deforestation-free tropical wood trade already works today and how we contribute to protecting the rainforest.

The film team accompanies our managing director on her journey to a sustainably managed forest and a certified sawmill in Peru, from which we source our wood. Catherine Körting also visits an indigenous community that benefits from sustainable forestry. The journey of the wood is also shown: from the Peruvian Amazon forest via the port in Lima to our warehouse in Drolshagen.
