The best decking quality
Before our decking boards reach the quality our customers are used to, they have to go through a lengthy process. Here we give you a brief overview – from the forest to the terrace.
The choice of wood species
A good decking board cannot be made from an unsuitable type of wood. at Betterwood we only process wood with very good technical properties (e.g. durability, risk of warping, surface structure). In addition, the wood must come from sustainable forestry - which does not increase the quality but makes the world a better place.
Wood species comparisonThe production
The sawmills for our decking are located in South America and Asia. What they all have in common: Qualified employees who are paid according to fair trade standards and modern machines. Because gentle chamber drying and professional planing is a prerequisite for the high quality of the floorboards.
Terrace wood qualityThe hand sorting
In our warehouse, each plank is checked for quality before dispatch. You can find out what you can expect from our decking boards in our sorting criteria.
